Our Centre

• Richardson is a mixed model early childhood education centre offering developmentally appropriate programs for children aged birth to school age with limited places also available up to the age of eight.

• We open from 7:30am to 6:00pm 51 weeks of the year, we close for the week between Christmas and new year.

• At Richardson we offer drop off and pick up from: Richardson Preschool, Richardson Koori pre and Richardson Primary School.
• At Richardson we are committed to providing an inclusive environment and encourage family involvement in this.
• Richardson acknowledges the Australian Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and that all children learn through play to belong, be and become.
• Children are offered a variety of environments encouraging exploration, socialisation, experimentation and opportunities to contribute their community.
• Richardson recognises that families are children’s first and foremost teachers and we seek partnerships to establish rich learning environments.
• At Richardson we have a kitchen garden which provides us with fresh nutritious offerings to compliment our afternoon teas and provides a great learning experience for the children.

Type of Child Care Offered

• We provide long day care - a regular booking, within the operating hours of the centre.

• We provide permanent part time care – a regular booking for a minimum of four (4) hours up to a maximum of eight (8) hours per day, within the operating hours of the centre.
• We provide occasional care - an irregular booking for a minimum of two (2) hours, within the operating hours of the centre.
• Open from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, Monday  to Friday

Meals

• We provide a nutritionally balanced morning and afternoon tea each day.

• Consistent with the Communities@Work Nutrition Policy and guidelines, all menus are planned by the Organisations, food and nutrition manager.

• We can cater for individual dietary requirements and specific needs.
