Our Centre
- We are a 86 place child care centre, providing care and education for children from birth to school age.
- We follow the outcomes of the Early Years Learning Framework focusing on the learning and development of children and believe that children learn through play, extending children’s thinking and learning
- Our experienced and qualified bilingual educators are constantly engaged in reflective practices and work in partnership with families and the local community.
- We provide a nappy and linen service.
The Ngunnawal Experience
Our environments are welcoming, vibrant, and flexible and cater to the individual needs of each child.
We focus on the holistic wellbeing of each child in our care and provide specialist support to families through the Inclusion Support Agency (ISA) for children with additional needs.
Our centre is located next to the Ngunnawal Preschool and Primary School, and we provide Preschool drop offs and pickups.
We provide an outdoor program in collaboration with Kids at Play.
We respect, welcome and acknowledge families from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and also celebrate the benefits of diversity by constantly gaining knowledge of different cultural practices.
Our centre promotes educational experiences by inviting and liaising with the local community such as dental health, skin clinic, Kenny Koala (AFP) and incursions and excursions.
Type of Child Care Offered
- We provide long day care - a regular booking, within the operating hours of the centre.
- We provide occasional care - an irregular booking for a minimum of two (2) hours, within the operating hours of the centre.
- Open from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm , Monday to Friday
Meals
- We provide a nutritionally balanced morning and afternoon tea each day.
- Consistent with the Communities@Work Nutrition Policy and guidelines, all menus are planned by the organisations, food and nutrition manager.
- We can cater for individual dietary requirements and specific needs.
